If elected, I will focus my energy, as I did throughout my career, on continuing to improve the quality of life in Los Alamos. This will include concentrating on some key areas from the County’s strategic plan:
• Thoughtful Housing Growth:Continue to expand housing options for our workforce and seniors. Advocate for creative redevelopment that adds density and affordability without losing our community’s unique character
• Local Business Success:Find ways to make commercial space more accessible so our retail and dining sectors can thrive. Utilize existing incentive tools like the Local Economic Development Act and Metropolitan Redevelopment Act, and explore other state incentive programs
•Fiscal Integrity & Infrastructure:Prioritize infrastructure maintenance and replacement and complete the community broadband project to ensure we take care of what we have and we are ready for the future
•Environmental Responsibility:Protect our mesas and canyons. Focus on practical steps for wildfire mitigation, renewable energy, and other priorities identified by our community
