My wife, Suzanne, and I moved to Los Alamos in 1996, and very quickly knew that this community was for us. We raised our children here, and Suzanne spent her career working for the Los Alamos Public Schools. Since we retired, our commitment to this town has remained as strong as ever. Currently I am serving on the board of the Los Alamos Community Foundation as a member and as treasurer. This is our home, and I want to help ensure it remains a vibrant, sustainable, and welcoming place for everyone.
I began my career as a CPA auditing local governments, including Los Alamos County. Then for 28 years, I had the honor of serving this community from within our local government, as CFO, Deputy County Manager and finally as County Manager. This journey gave me a front-row seat to the mechanics of our community—I’ve seen what works, where we face hurdles, and how to navigate the complex relationships we share with the Laboratory and our regional partners. I am running because I believe that my deep institutional knowledge, paired with a calm and collaborative approach, can help us tackle our most pressing challenges.
I have always believed that leadership is about more than just making decisions; it’s about really listening well and treating everyone with empathy and respect. I would be honored to earn your vote and continue serving the community that has given my family so much.
